Spaghetti & Meatballs

For December 2022 virtual cooking experience we included our mates and went with DATE NIGHT: Lady & The Tramp Addition. It was more of an interactive experience with playing a few “Would You Rather” rounds and included LOVE Q & A. We dressed up for a formal date night experience at home; even a few dressed for the occasion.

Our featured dish was Pasta and Sauce which each couple prepared a pasta and sauce dish including a protein of their choice. However, we provided the instructions for meatballs.

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 pounds ground sirloin

(or preferred ground meat)

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan

2 cloves garlic, chopped

Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

Mix beef and Worcestershire, egg, bread crumbs, cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Roll meat into 1 1/2-inch medium-sized meatballs.

Place on a nonstick or greased baking dish or cookie sheet.

Bake balls for 10 to 12 minutes, until no longer pink.

Now for the rest…

Prepare your sauce.

Place a large pot of water on to boil for the spaghetti.

When it boils, add salt and pasta and cook to al dente.

Place pasta on dinner plates and top with meatballs and sauce.
