Time Does Not Wait!

I haven’t posted since October 2021.

Clearly, next month will make a year.

SO MUCH IS GOING ON, WHY HAVEN’T I SHARED IT WITH YOU!

Honestly, when I mapped out this blogging journey for myself I thought sure I would have the time to put in the energy. However, I am still investing love in the universe, one kind deed at a time!

Maybe it’s our homestead that has caused the delay. I often joke about being a real-life farmer. Yes, I put in the hours on this small farm and something always needs to be done. Besides that, my 2 companies still exist plus my nonprofit ventures. So not posting isn’t a choice I just need to find the time but I will continue to work on blogging more. I promise!!

Allow me to sum up the last 12 months in one blog sharing some of my favorite moments of homesteading, cooking, and crafting since October 2021.

November 2021

I finally mastered homemade biscuits. Try my recipe and let me know what you think.

December 2021

I decided to make use of our Limequats! The holidays are perfect for crafting garlands. I dehydrated the limequats from our bush. Besides I had no other use for them. When the bush was purchased at the local flea market, we were told it was a lime tree. Lol (we are quickly learning to be careful with plant and animal selections there) So after they were dehydrated I strung them on fishing line along with some pearls.

Hubby crafted us a reindeer for the front yard from a pine tree he cut down.

January 2022

Our thriving cabbage growing in the cold. We planted a fall garden. Our goal is to have a year round garden!

February 2022

Argentina style Carne Asada

Carne Asada (or grilled meat) is the earliest taco created in Argentina. The meat is typically marinated in lime, cumin, and other Hispanic spices before being barbequed on open-flamed grills. Typically served in corn tortillas along with salsa. But of course, I added flour tortillas and an array of toppings to our DIY serving bar.

March 2022

Spring is near so I worked on some fabric hangers for our laundry room.

We started getting prepared for our Spring Garden as well. The weather was nice so I removed the strawberry plants from the greenhouse and by the end of March, they were blooming!

April 2022

New hens! Meet Heaven and Nevaeh. We now have 4 hens in our coop.

May 2022

By May, hens were growing, flowers were blooming and our garden was overloaded with vegetables.

June 2022

I spent June dehydrating and canning! By the end of the month, I was making my own crushed pepper, ground paprika powder, dried herbs, and canned vegetables.

I even mastered lollipops with peppers and edible flowers in the middle.

July 2022

Along with my mother, sisters, and nieces, we started a once-a-month virtual cooking class. It’s the perfect time for us to have girl time since we live in different cities. Also, we get the opportunity to cook together and share our preferred techniques.

Paula Deen’s OKRA GUMBO was delicious!

August 2022

I invited hubby to an evening picnic in our backyard… just because it was Thursday! #timefortwo

September is Here

We started off our month sorting through the meat from our 2 pigs (Larry & Curtis). Yes! After much prayer, thought and consideration I made the executive decision to process them. This journey has taught me that every person, animal, or thing MUST serve their purpose on this farm.

Finally, ALL THINGS LOVE is caught up and I look forward to my next post!
