It’s been several months since my last post. All things LOVE is still on my mind but we have dedicated our quarantine time to our newest project. Despite the pandemic we are thankful that our businesses did not take a financial loss like so many fellow entrepreneurs. In fact, I am Blessed with performing more weddings during this time than previous years. So if not anything else, this pandemic has reminded me that love conquers all. ❤

So back to our newest project! “Bradley’s Homestead” was born, basically a dream that we were able to finally turn into reality. For years we tossed around the idea of living off the grid, even tiny living. We have shared so many ideas of how to make it effectively work for us. Honestly I believe our hardest challenge was always where would be the idea location for us.

Years ago we purchased some raw land in a rural area, about 100 miles away from the main city where we work. Despite us commuting throughout the state our home needs to always be centrally located where we obtain the majority of our business. Of course in my fairytale mind with prince charmings and candy filled rainbows I would say to my husband, “let’s pickup and leave then start over there”. Yet most importantly, the reality of our lifestyle, success of our businesses and the fact that I’m not ready to be in a completely rural area. I am a city mouse but I love country mouse living so we decided to move 30 minutes away from the city so I can wake up and be whichever mouse I choose! So Bradley’s Homestead sits comfortably on roughly 1 acre in a residential rural area.

We didn’t decide on a tiny house because I wanted a little more space so we settled with a 1000 sq ft mobile home which I refer to as my tiny home and hubby surprised me with a she-shed which I converted to my home office/craft space.

I even have water front property. Well it’s a ditch but for me it’s my Redemption River!

Continue to follow our journey as we start gardening, raising our chicks and pigs plus whatever else we decide to do on this homestead.

Currently they enjoy life inside my she-shed because I prefer to wait until next Spring before relocating them to the outdoors.

Larry and Curtis just arrived yesterday so they have not warmed up to us yet. But I am sure my kune kune pigs will grow to love life with us.

Stay tuned! I plan to bring more recipes, more crafts and most importantly more love!
