Okay! So now what world?

I CAN’T GO SHOPPING!
I CAN’T SOAK IN THE SUN AT THE BEACH!
I CAN’T GO ON LUNCH OR DINNER DATES!
I CAN’T… I CAN’T… I CAN’T
We live in America, the land of the free but our President, the Governor even the Mayor is asking us to stay indoors and only travel for essential reasons. Schools and businesses have been ordered to close. Where does that leave us? We are stuck inside practicing social distancing with having to find entertainment inside our homes to occupy our time. I decided to NOT let this Pandemic break my spirit of LOVE so I decided to spread it!
PROJECT 1 COVID 19 GREETING CARDS
Once my cards were created I randomly selected individuals who I thought would love the impromptu of receiving one. The response was phenomenal! Even during a time like this, it’s great to spread love. So many theories are out there about Covid19 but the only belief I have is God. His world, His plan. He wants us to come together, He wants us to put our busyness aside and focus on Him. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
MAKE IT
- I used my Cricut Explorer 2
- Card Stock, multiply colors and textures
- Scrapbooking Stickers and Adhesives
- Mailing Envelopes (4 1/8 x 9 ½ Inch) I selected these because I had them already at home. So I knew my cards would have to be created to fit in the envelope.
The stock paper was cut with my circuit, I needed 3 different cuts.
1. outside of the card (select 1 color of stock paper)
20 x 23 centimeters with a score line down the middle at 10 centimeters
On the left side of the card apply your text and/or designs. When I applied COVID19 I rotated it upside down and when it was time to cut I mirrored it.
2. middle insert (select the backdrop color, glittered stock looked better to me)
9 x 22 centimeters
3.Inside of the card (I chose white because I wanted a blank canvas for me to decorate)
20 x 23 centimeters with a score line down the middle at 10 centimeters
For my personal message, I used the Microsoft Word template for Event Invitation (4.25 x 5.5 inches). Each letter-size page printed for 4 messages.
TIME TO ASSEMBLE
Using modge podge, glue the middle insert to the back of the cut side on the outside card. Once dry apply modge podge to the back of the inside of the card and assemble to the outside card. Allow drying before decorating with your personal message and scrapbooking stickers. I also hot glued some rhinestones to my cards so just be creative!

I have observed my social media friends commenting about working from home, homeschooling children, etc. That’s when I decided to make a post about my life because since it’s just my husband and I and we own home-based businesses I am almost a pro at social distancing. I received positive feedback and I pray that someone took my advice so home life wouldn’t be so lonely or stressful. And now I decided to share my tips with you.
